Domestic Airlines ask for change in ATF classification

Prices of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) sold to domestic airlines in metros have been slashed from 1st of February 2009. Airlines, which have been eagerly expecting this drop are yet to announce cheaper airfares. They have been asking the govt. to classify the ATF to goods, to save tax revenue. However, Air India may drop prices unilaterally according to Mr.Praful Kumar, Civil Aviation minister.{backbutton}
